I’d say both are pretty on point, but i also don't think they can be compared in that way plus all the other variables...the biggest to me being watson's ageelliseamos wrote:Only if you think Watson is as good as Stafford. I think Watson is so unlike the others in ability and potential that the comparison is moot.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I’d say both are pretty on point, but i also don't think they can be compared in that way plus all the other variables...the biggest to me being watson's ageelliseamos wrote:Only if you think Watson is as good as Stafford. If this is the bar for moving Goff's contract and getting Stafford (if one felt they were distinctly different) I expect insanity for Watson.

I'm so happy with the Stafford trade. For the first time in forever, the Lions have options at their disposal.

how about the patriots trading belichick straight up for watson, then promoting matt patricica to HC?elliseamos wrote:The Jets going Ricky Williams trade this year and next plus Darnold to Houston.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i agreeelliseamos wrote:I think Watson is so unlike the others in ability and potential that the comparison is moot.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I’d say both are pretty on point, but i also don't think they can be compared in that way plus all the other variables...the biggest to me being watson's ageelliseamos wrote:Only if you think Watson is as good as Stafford. I'd take that trade bc bill would find oit Easterby and Caserio were in charge and then he'd resign on a cocktail napkin.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:how about the patriots trading belichick straight up for watson, then promoting matt patricica to HC?elliseamos wrote:The Jets going Ricky Williams trade this year and next plus Darnold to Houston.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i agreeelliseamos wrote:I think Watson is so unlike the others in ability and potential that the comparison is moot.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I’d say both are pretty on point, but i also don't think they can be compared in that way plus all the other variables...the biggest to me being watson's ageelliseamos wrote:Only if you think Watson is as good as Stafford. Jared Goff was Rams last 1st-round pick in 2016; since then, they’ve traded away their next 7 1st-round picks:
•2017: Traded to Titans
•2018: Traded to Pats
•2019: Traded to Falcons
•2020: Traded to Jags
