Its fitting that Fauci is the through line for AIDS and Corona Virus response in the US.

AIDS? Keep the gay baths open, its all gravy, they'll figure it out.

COVID: shut it all down!

He's been consistent in ginning up fears in low risk groups to provide a sense of urgency, but how thats helpful is unclear.

not sure how it could be less unclear. normal doesn't happen unless herd immunity through vaccination happens.

The way it’s going currently, yeah. So providing a sense of urgency is probably a fine idea.

Yeah still on pace to take a good year to get to herd though. Like I said, as it’s going currently. I think we’ll get their sooner as things continue to improve. Still lots of hurdles though.

So you want to do this until next February? You're fucking insane. By the end of the day illinois will have administered 1 million vaccine doses. Plus, kids, non olds, non fats. They don't need the vaccine to eat woodfire pizza.

Yes it is. It will be up to each of us individually. My guess is for you it's going to be a while.

I am all for once over 65 folks, healthcare workers and frontline workers that all restrictions be removed. Lets get back to life as normal. If you are scared, stay home or wear an N95 mask.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

Exactly. Once people can walk into a pharmacy and get the shot if they want to this is over.

I fear it won't. I have no faith in the government to exit the pandemic power they seem to love to wield. I think they'll use coercion to get people to get vaccinated, holding out on returning to normal until a vaccination rate of xx% is achieved. The offered reasoning will be think about the immuno-comprimised and others who can't take the vaccine.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.
