The best ones are when they do unjustified traffic stops to hand out giftcards or whatever.

This wasn't a fluff piece like that, as medical supplies and first aid training are kind of a big deal when the paramedics won't show up until the cops give the all clear.

Why this story is coming out now after we are told we need to defund the police is a bit confusing. Why care about police providing first aid when they should be relegated to a minor periphery role at most?

What I'd like to see is cops get disciplined for failing to provide a minimum level of aid. Sometimes they go all out trying to stop the bleeding/ perform CPR. Often when they are the ones creating the gunshot wounds they are less enthusiastic in providing aid.
