The opening segment of 60 Minutes was on the surviving families of covid victims.
It was a tough, heartbreaking watch.

yeah, of course these characters are awful people, thats the funny part. And its surprising you dint think its cohesive, i found it super well made tonally since s1.epilogue wrote:It was very unclear to me. It didn't even occur to me (even after reading Nussbaum's criticism detailing exactly that; I thought she was cuckoo-bananas) until E3S1. Everything prior is too scattered tonally to be cohesive.VinylGuy wrote:Its pretty clear from the pilot. Its a wonderful satire. and i just loooove these characters.epilogue wrote:S3E1 is the first time that I've understood what the show is trying to do.VinylGuy wrote:Only one left for Search Party.
Best comedy in tv right now
And I loathe these characters. But that's ok because I'm supposed to.
Also, i know so many people like them its super funny to see characters like this on tv.

Just based on what you’ve both said about the show, and the Nussbaum article, I *think* I’ve a theory of what the show is trying to do.VinylGuy wrote:yeah, of course these characters are awful people, thats the funny part. Not ABC. Our local affiliate is currently being blacked out by DirecTv/AT&T. In December the same contract negotiation tactic happened with the NBC channels for about two and a half weeks.

Little Fires Everywhere. My wife read the book. It's soapy and ridiculous but pretty entertaining overall.

I'm on S3E3 so I have no idea where this thing is ultimately going. But based on what I have seen, I think your theory is way off.dad wrote:but I’m off on my theory...?VinylGuy wrote:Im going to say that the ending is super weird and grim.dad wrote:VinylGuy wrote:em
