The SY playlist is what I ran with. It's much more palatable to me than the Strat one although I haven't quite finished it yet. I wish I could tell you what songs I liked best but I didn't catch any of the names during the 48 minutes I was running.

My Strava run today came from a song on that mix. I very, very seldom connect with the lyrics when I listen to Sonic Youth. Their sound is so intricate and visceral that I get lost in it. Running to this mix, though, I heard a lot of these lines for the first time. Something about the way my brain works when I run makes lyrical phrases seep into my brain and swirl around for a while. This one really got me: She's a beautiful mental jukebox, a sailboat explosion. A snap of electric whip crack

I love how she finds different ways to say that she definitely doesn't consider herself a musician. Gives a lot more weight to her songwriting and performing as just one appendage in her entire body of work.
