Pearl Jam with Gigaton. Didn't stick.

Yeah I was really into it for 48 hours and haven't listened since.

Just seems like a lack of effort or integrity. Leaves a sour taste.

Re: Music you've grown out of, revisited
There was a point in my youth where, like a lot of idiot kids, I was like REALLY into The Doors. It was a short phase, less than a year, probably. I still like them enough when I hear a song out and about or on the radio or something. But I haven't actively put on a Doors record in ages.
Not sure if that kind of thing makes the cut for this thread. But after thinking about this a lot, it's the only real example I can think of.

Same. Mr. Mojo Risin used to come off as magical, mysterious, brilliant... Now I just think of him as a confident alcoholic bum with a decent voice.

Have you guys read Wonderland Avenue by Danny Sugarman? It really demystified Morrison for me. By the end he was just a fat dude in exile.

Haven't read but don't think I need to. I already have that impression.

Iggy Pop also comes off as a total clown in the book

Yeah, I still get a lot out of Alanis Morissette, so it's pretty clear where my depression maturity sits.verb_to_trust wrote:bodysnatcher wrote:My depression has matured way too much to relate with that mopey 20-something crap.epilogue wrote:NO!bodysnatcher wrote:Elliott Smith

It is funky. The transition from the previous song helps, too. Haven't heard that in a long time.doug rr wrote:pretty much the only time i break out into a dance is when peace frog comes on....epilogue wrote:There was a point in my youth where, like a lot of idiot kids, I was like REALLY into The Doors.
