Harmless, I think you should probably stop talking about Pink Floyd now.

...

According to everyone I've spoken to, the sheer expense Pink Floyd go to to achieve all of this on stage makes their ticket prices impossible for anyone who isn't white, probably male, upper middle-class and part of the right circles. And everyone I know (at least in the UK) who is a Pink Floyd fan has been that kind of person.
I don't even know where to begin with this nonsense.

Why not? What makes any of this wrong? Provide a counter-argument against my experience of Pink Floyd, or leave me alone.

I'm probably just gonna give this forum a break for a while. Everything is pissing me off. Have fun.

He doesn't hate them. He just thinks they have a level of cheese that Pearl Jam will reach if they continue to work with BOB.

So you think this guys a Pearl Jam fan or not? ;)
This guy has Binaural as #2 best album of the decade so he's probably a hipster
He posts here, or at least on the old board. Great writer and big PJ fan.
He used to yell at us a lot.
Haha, really?
Yeah. And he lambasted me on Twitter and said I was no match for his "monstrous encyclopedic Pearl Jam knowledge" because I suggested Matt wasn't the only reason they play fast. He's kind of a dick, honestly.
I remember that!

They also have a live show which virtually no one can afford.
Jesus, no.
I think that about pink Floyd sometimes

8-)

Moreso than the Gremmie guy? Wish they would post here more often. This place needs more drama.
I'll say this much: he gets a lot more hilariously emotional than the Gremmie guy.
I haven't heard Sirens yet. But, I read what I assume was his review on it on that site. Seemed a bit over the top, gushy, no? What did you guys think of it?
Beyond the subtle shot another reviewers I think it was a nicely written review by someone who really loves the song.

I wonder if there is some of the come back initial excess. We seem to be hungering for these types of songs, but I don't think the love this is getting is sustainable.

But what the hell do i know. I think lighting bolt is the second coming of given to fly and no one but phatj is backing me up on that

Stip, I 100% agree. This song is PJ at their absolute best. Getaway and Sirens are tied for second.

Hey, don't get unnecessarily sensitive about it: your posts aren't you. Though I would've imagined this goes without saying, if I've ever taken issue with something you've said, it's merely in regards to those ideas or arguments you've put forward and nothing at all to do with you as a human being.

So, to begin with, Pink Floyd (in terms of the classic Gilmour/Waters/Wright/Mason line-up) haven't played a (full) show for over 30 years.

Lets all take a moment to operationalize the variable 'pink Floyd' before we continue

That's not what I've heard, or seen on TV. I might be talking about reunion shows. Or something. I don't know, and I've admitted I don't know. Just that people have told me they couldn't afford Floyd shows. One of my friends told me he goes to see the famous Pink Floyd tribute band (whose name I've forgotten) because he can't afford the shows. So, I don't know, maybe I've just been hideously misinformed.

Didn't Antiquiet leak some of the Chinese Democracy tracks like half a year before that album was released? They got into a lot of shit for that.

I don't know, maybe the Roger Waters solo tours? He's done a few of those in recent years.
