But saying this is a good use of congress's time is very funny though.

It’s a good use of time. Would you rather they go back to naming post offices? It’s one week. I think the events of Jan 6 merit the time.BurtReynolds wrote:But saying this is a good use of congress's time is very funny though.

Republican senators giving themselves cover by saying they’re afraid of threats to them and their family if they go against trump, is either a new low or a scathing remark on how bad the average trump voter is. Could be both but it looks like it’s being used to squirm out of their responsibilities in finding him guilty.

Not that he would incite them to do anything should they vote against him.dimejinky99 wrote:Republican senators giving themselves cover by saying they’re afraid of threats to them and their family if they go against trump, is either a new low or a scathing remark on how bad the average trump voter is. Are they just sorta locked in that golf course? I mean it’s probably big enough but there’s only so many walks you can take or rounds you can play before you go around the bend

There was a correspondent on the radio here today from one of the big US papers saying this is all basically a sham and the real stuff will come in a criminal trial once this is over, with subpoenas and witnesses and the whole 9 yards.
Will that happen?

You're going to have to narrow it down. A good number of US correspondents from big US papers are unreliable sources.dimejinky99 wrote:There was a correspondent on the radio here today from one of the big US papers saying this is all basically a sham and the real stuff will come in a criminal trial once this is over, with subpoenas and witnesses and the whole 9 yards.

His name was kurt. You could say he was busy sucking the last of his beverage from a straw the whole interview.
He actually was funnily enough. You could even hear the ice.

Why wasn't that call played at the trial?
