have you ever substituted anchovy paste for filets? if, so what was the ratio?

i make my pizza sauce with 3 anchovies, unbeknownst to my wife, who is a vegetarian that doesn’t eat fish. I’m usually rushing to get the anchovies out of the fridge and into the processor without her knowing. I figured paste may be an easier way to go.
