It's about just as good as all of Gigaton. Very good.

It’s safe, predictable, paint-by-numbers. It’s Pearl Jam.

Thank you. I like the guitar work on it.
Can’t really hear it on gigaton though. Is it from those earlier sessions?
Sounds like it’s from a different set of songs or something
Ps are we ever getting that second record?

The lack of a tour really killed this record

Re: Gigaton: Official album thread
Ed and Mike called into Pj Radio. Rob asked them about new music and Ed said yes that absolutely there would be more new music by the time they get to tour. "We ain't just sitting around" i believe is what he also said.dprival78 wrote:what's this now?E.H. Intersting tidbit of that interview....Ed sounds like a fan of Gigaton. He loves the album and the way it was created. And yes, they talk about a new album coming.

Guys, im listening to Never Destination on Spotify and sounds different, with more space, some pretty cool effects on ed´s vocals, some cool guitar moment at the beginning...maybe this mix is from the visuals?

Re: Gigaton: Official album thread
I'd love to see new music, but playing devil's advocate, I feel like they say "we've got more songs for an EP or a whole record that's coming" pretty much every album cycle. Hopefully it comes through this time.
I've been listening to Gigaton probably more lately than I did at any point last year; I've tended over the years to get into a cycle where I hardly listen to PJ for most of the year, and than always fall back into the catalog near the end of winter. It's a really satisfying record, even if I've got quibbles here and there with it (I do feel like it starts to sag in the second half). But I think I feel confident calling it my favorite of the band's post Riot Act period, and maybe equal with that record.

Re: Gigaton: Official album thread
If they really release new music in the near feature, maybe they should continue to stop touring even after covid... If that is what motivates them to write.
