Anyone else think this is slightly optimistic?

Either way, I'll be booking for both shows...

Very optimistic. Got my two-day ticket and my accommodation booked.... but made sure that it had free cancellation.

I'd like to actually go but this looks like a MASSIVE fucking event. I kind of imagine myself just wandering around a mile from the stage wondering why i came.

I have rebooked for both nights but I don't have any real confidence of this happening. Hope I'm wrong - I have tickets for Imola in June too. Italy is currently in better shape than UK but will there be travel from USA??

I've got a Friday ticket for this on the off chance that everything's good to go. I might keep an eye on Imola as well, but not sure I'd want to fly there. Maybe a train.

Just been looking at the Gov't announcements. It seems they're lifting restrictions on large events from 21st June. So... hopefully... maybe... possibly... we might be going to see Pearl fucking Jam on July 9th & 10th...

I'm not gonna lie, it has given me a glimmer of hope even though in all probability it won't happen.

Thing is, the rest of the tour is highly unlikely to take place, so surely the band is more likely to reschedule the whole thing to 2022. I can't see PJ playing just a couple of dates. And even if they were prepared to, would they really be happy to put themselves and their crew and their families at risk?

And then there's the issue of the fans - PJ know that their fan base travel far and wide to shows, and especially big shows like BST, so with the likelihood that foreign fans with tickets for BST won't be able to attend (assuming that quarantines are still going to be in place, at least for travellers from many countries), would the band want to still perform knowing it would piss off that many fans?

Finally, a big consideration is how risk averse the organiser is as well. All of the Govt steps are based on the country hitting certain milestones along the way, and some of them might not be clear until weeks before the next step. June 21 is so close to the BST show... it's only got to slip by a small margin and it's off. I guess it may all depend on the insurance situation and who knows what contract they have with their insurers. They'll presumably be insured up the yin yang so I guess they'd probably be happy to leave it until the last possible moment.

It's the hope that kills ya, isn't it?!

July is a LONG time from now in COVID world. There is honestly no reason to cancel until about 30 days out from the shows, and that's 13 weeks from now.

I wouldn't be holding my breath, but there feels like a small chance this happens.

There's a rumour doing the rounds on the efestivals forum that BST is gonna be pushed back to September. Don't know how credible the source is, but I'm sure it's something that the organisers have at least considered.

There's more June/July festivals rumoured to be looking at postponing till September. Werchter (with PJ on the bill) also one of them.

I'd be OK with September Euro dates. Just as long they don't shuffle the deck too much.

Bummer. Had very faint hopes that the HP shows might just have happened. Third time lucky I guess.

When will we get an idea of stage times for all acts?

Nothing on the app as of yet. PJ will be on 20.15 tho - curfew is 22.15 so that'll be their 2 hour show.

OK the app has updated with the set times and I was way off: PJ are on at 19.50 and off at 22.20. Think that's a bit optimistic myself as there's no way they'll be doing a 2.5 hour show.
