we used to see him a lot at our local grocery store in the upper west side of NYC
Did he often seem to be lost, searching for the Italian foods aisle?
never...I always saw him at citarella...man do i miss that place..anyway, last night episode in Rome was good..need some cacio e pepe this week
on the UES the Citarella is on the corner and at one point it had an attached bar/resto on the adjacent side of the corner (under a different name). they had a dollar oysters happy hour every week, which I used to hit up often. one time I actually found a baby pearl inside. not sure what happened to it
we had a friend that lived by that one...been there a few times but always made the time to walk a couple blocks down to JG Melon for a burger and a drink

Never had worse food on average, than when I visited Italy (Torino and Milano). Will go back one day, and hopefully get a better experience.

The Milan episode started off weak because it was in Milan. But it got better when they went into the countryside of Lombardy

I'm all caught up on this show. Really enjoy it. Especially when they showcase a cheese maker. That lombardy mountain cheese was total food porn.
