I'm not endorsing termination-by-tweet, but there is a universe of difference between some college no one has heard of college firing a professor based on complaints from a politician who influences their funding and what the world's most powerful media company did to one of the stars of one of their most important properties.

That’s insulting to anyone’s intelligence that’s been following this. And I dunno if anyone saw that interview she did with Shapiro but she’s not the brightest bulb on the tree. Looks like she’s taking messaging lessons from him.

If she says she's not against trans people at all, then I think it's a bit strong to claim that she hates trans people. Would certainly need more proof than writing those three words on her profile.

That’s the thing everyone here seems to be unaware of. This wasn’t a one off thing. She’s been tweeting and posting this stuff on her Instagram for ages. It wasn’t just that one thing. That just seemed cleverly (ha) designed to make all her previous look innocuous. She’s been at it for ages.

In some ways we agree. It’s worse for the college not to take a stand and protect its employees whose job it is to poke the edges and challenge what is accepted. And actors don’t matter much in the grand scheme of things. What makes Carano different is that it validates the behavior of the online mob and shows them if Disney will bow to them then anyone will.
