I think I got used to him sounding a lot quieter on all those middle albums even though I remember being put off by it initially. I had/ have the same problem with backspacer.
I agree with this. Ed is too loud on this new stuff.
And to my endless amusement this actually is a Bo'B thing. "You gotta have Eddie good and loud" or some such.

Yeah that was really weird. I was like fucking why? Why have you "gotta have Eddie good and loud"? What's the aesthetic reason for this? He didn't explain, it was as if the point was obvious.

All of it. I'm trying to like the music while still thinking BO'B's a dick. I think that he just knows what the general public feeling about PJ is, however superficial and casual it sounds, i.e. "Eddie Vedder's band." Nobody in the general public gives much of a shit about the other musicians, so neither does BO'B.

For god's sake :hooray:

I thought the "new song euphoria" might wear of quickly here but it did not happen yet. Maybe it's meant to last.

im pretty sure i officially love this song. its hard to describe, but its got this kinda swagger to it. like, it should be faster and kinda punky, but its so good it doesnt have to. it confidently marches to its own pace, and kicks everyones ass in its way.

It's got a meaty tasty groove this one.

Might possibly a top 20 tune

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jeff writes amazing basslines. The bass in the verses to this is soooooo fucking dirty. His 12 string makes a return perhaps? Likely P-Bass though I guess?

I've been a fan since the beginning. I can't recall liking a song right off the bat of theirs as much since probably Hail Hail. Others have grown over time but this and Swallowed Whole are top-notch.

This one right now, is almost at the top of the pile for me.

Scary thing is, it's gonna lose all its appeal if they play it too fast, live.

This is why I don't listen to very much PJ live...

I always just assumed everybody kept their undies and socks in the top drawer, but if that were the case this wouldn't mean what I assume it means.

There are also song drawers, like in the Pentagon or the FBI building or something. Area 51 maybe? I don't know, but there are song drawers.
