I agree. I'm not 100% thrilled that JA is producing again (if I'm honest). But I'm with Norris. But that isn't affecting me excitement at all.

I like a lot of Jack's work. But "gritty" hasn't traditionally been his thing. It'll be interesting to see if he can expand his sound/aesthetic with this.

I think there's a fair chance that it's gritty in St Vincent terms, but yeah I don't expect gritty in the broader sense. Cassevetes isn't gritty by that standard either.
