one of the reasons I appreciate "Alright" is how much it reminds me of the time when Neil Young was an influence on their sleeves, albeit with a slightly shinier production

Yes this one definitely reminds me of that period too. Sounds a bit like it could fit on no code or yield.

Months before the album dropped, someone (Glen Hansard?) compared the album to No Code. I'm not sure I agree overall but that's definitely true of Alright.

Hey all

Popping back in for March Madness. Still love this album. The first three songs have been most of my Pearl Jam consumption in recent months.

Spun the whole thing on Friday while driving around. It’s good.

Well except for River Cross.

Great album.

I'd lose Never Destination (it's good but feels like a throwaway) and Retrograde (bit boring, the outro saves it).

I love Never Destination.
If we're ditching tracks please start (and stop) with River Cross.

I wouldn't ditch a single Gigaton track, which is amazing to me at this point in their career

I do think there are weaker songs but I don't give a fuck, this used to be the band I never had to skip for me, so that's definitely enough
