I was thinking of adding a digital delay to my board. The carbon copy is great, but those Boss DDs are fun.

There's just so much packed into them. The Boss' anyway. 11 different modes, hold for sampling, tap tempo, ridiculous delay time, etc...

I've owned a Boss DD-5, DD-7 and DD-8 at various times (among other analog and digital delays).

They're all good at what they do.

I think I need a solid year of daily practice before I even think about a delay pedal. I’m 2 months in.

What do you guys use for a pedal board? Ideally I'd like something I could suitcase. I have a Joyo power supply which is quite bulky, so it'd have to sit underneath or take up a lot of top room. I don't mind as long as I can make it portable.

Ive tried a few over the years but finally just went with the classic pedal train.

Its the best for a reason. However, one day, i might maybe send my stuff off to this place and have them custom build:

curious what you guys like about the digital delays? I've got a vintage Ibanez AD-80, and bought it way back when because Sonic Youth used it and it was analog. No opinion how it sounds compared to digital. Or is there a greater range of delay times/sounds you can get out of digital? Any thoughts?
I've had a DD-3 since the 90s and a carbon copy since they came out. Both are great pedals and i used to keep both on my board for different flavors of delay.

These days my 'board' is just a Line 6 HX Effects and a fuzz pedal. I find it does everything i need in a live scenario without all the fail points of a pedalboard. I've had so many pedals/cables cause issues during live gigs over the years that i just said fuck it.

Facebook won’t stop showing me this ad for a 12-string Ibanez acoustic guitar for $299 and god damn if that ad hasn’t almost worked several times. I kinda want one.

If you had 15 grand to spend, where would you go?

I think I'd probably go with a 5 string Fodera Monarch, or a fretless Zon. Or a Wal.

Talk me in to (or out of) buying this for $350 used and in great condition.

I have a Squier Tele and I wanted to get something with humbuckers also.

Is this gonna be good for loud music with the right pedal? Like Metallica.
