He’s an idiot and is almost completely superfluous to the plot of the movie, that’s the whole point

Coming 2 America

I wasn't expecting/hoping this would hold up to the original. It was enjoyable enough but felt like a completely different movie. The best parts were the returning characters form the original film and that was good enough for me.

I dont come from the place that these HAVE to be as good as the original. Im fine with a little look back to some of my favorite characters and movies.

Watched it last night, and maybe it was all the negative things I'd read that kept my expectations in check, but I really enjoyed this movie

It was a good movie! It didn't take itself seriously at all, you can see them laughing at themselves and poking fun at the idea of a sequel to the original. Obviously it's not as good as the original, but it wasn't trying to be. This was probably the best we could have gotten.

I've watched a couple Aussie Horror Movies from that period and all seem to be like that. I need to be in a certain mood but when they hit....oh baby. Fantastic.
