Re: 3. Hunted Down vs. You Are
I in no way think it is a better song, but I am pretty charmed by that performance of Hunted Down, and I'll give it my vote over a middle tier pearl jam song I probably only listen to during March Madness or a LAL thread.

Hunted Down was a good cover. You Are in an excellent Pearl Jam song so I go with the latter.

Covers are useless. It doesn't matter how good the cover is.

I guess I'm not the PJ fan I thought I was. Wasn't even aware of this Hunted Down cover. Pretty cool. Love Stone.
You Are still gets the vote.

I love Ed's vocals on You Are. It gets my vote, but Hunted Down is a good cover.

covers that sound least like the original are the most usefulB wrote:What about when the original song is shit?epilogue wrote:Covers are useless. It doesn't matter how good the cover is.

Voted for You Are. This was the second or third song I heard off of Riot Act (I heard Save You early on, not sure if I heard I Am Mine before You Are) and being struck by how different it felt at the time. It definitely piqued my interest then, even if I don't go to it as often anymore. But it gets my vote for the initial memory.

P.S. why do you hear riot act songs in such weird order ?

Re: 3. Hunted Down vs. You Are
If I'm remembering correctly (and I may not be), they were on K-Rock in NYC and previewed the album a little. I believe that's how I heard both Save You and You Are that day. So really it's the band's fault.knee tunes wrote:It gets my vote because of how it f*ing goesStardog Champion wrote:Voted for You Are.
