Maquette

Such an indie game. It's like a lighter version of the Witness meets a walking simulator (Everyone's Gone to the Rapture or Unfinished Swan). Not something I would buy, but an enjoyable, short PS Plus game.

It's a relatively new genre that typically has a first person perspective, an interactive story, and minimal gameplay beyond walking around and exploring/experiencing a story (Ex.Gone Home, What Remains of Edith Finch, Firewatch, etc.)

Gone Home was good, although I just kept waiting for it to scare the crap out of me and it never did.

Playing a mobile port of Final Fantasy 6 currently.

I've never played a FF title, and the only RPG I've ever really enjoyed is Stardew Valley, so I'm at a heavy handicap here. Trying my hardest not to use any walkthroughs.

On Locke's scenario currently, but kind of stuck after stealing the cider because I didn't steal the merchant clothes along with it so I can't get past the boy in the old man's house.

Update: I got that cider to the old man. Now I'm grinding away on the Veldt, trying to get some good rages for Gau. RPGs are fun as hell.

I'm playing chess. And FF6 is on the to-do list (I have the OG PS1 and disc) so I'm not reading any of that.

In the US, FF3 and FF6 are the same game, right? 3 was a SNES game and 6 was a PSX game. There’s no actual difference is there?

First week with the Series S. Just stuff on Game Pass so far:

-Ori and the Will of the Wisp. Beautiful Hollow Knight clone. Grabbed it so I could play something that wouldn't traumatize my daughter and got hooked.

-Doom Eternal. Starting to lose interest already. The level design and relentless gore are just too repetitive. Looks nice though.

-Forza Horizons 4. Forgot how much I enjoyed a mindless driving game. Haven't played anything like this since the old Need for Speed games.

-Tetris Effect: Connected. New system, new Tetris game for my wife. Never fails.

Alternating between Tony Hawk 1+2, Crash 4, NBA 2k21, Bowser's Fury, Super Mario 3D World (replay), and Dark Souls. Nothing has become an obsession or really grabbed my attention, but I'm enjoying each game.

Are you getting Monster Hunter on the Switch MD? I've never played a Monster Hunter game but it looks fun.

I might get it. I have MHW in my backlog. I want to play that one first. I've never played one either.

Started Disco Elysium last night. Played for a little more than an hour and I'm only in the third room. This one's gonna take a while.

What archetype did you use? I went with high intellect. I'm enjoying the extra bits of lore I get with it so far.

I might wait for a price drop or try out the World on the PS4 first. Never played a Monster Hunter game.

I think my first playthrough I did high psyche/motorics (tagged Savoir Faire), this time I'm also doing high intellect along with high physique (tagged conceptualization). I got a thought that gives me experience when my conceptualization chimes in and it's super high, so I'm leveling up like a motherfucker this go round.

I was too scared to try to figure out my own build. Maybe next time!
