This really hurts because I love Buckle Up and I wish they would put out a whole album of off kilter tracks like this. Eddie's delivery is lovely, and the music's wistful bounce has an undercurrent of sadness and an appreciation and gratitude for the memories and experiences it is sad about. Great song. But Jeremy is transcendent. I would take either of these songs against everything else this round that isn't Alive or Go.

Voted for Jeremy. Wish that Buckle Up had an easier opponent.

Tossing in a vote for Buckle Up because it's a great song, but yeah, Jeremy probably deserves this.

I've never really connected with Jeremy. The outro is great, but it's one of the more dated songs in their catalog. Buckle Up will age very well and is a nice song for the reasons Stip listed.

Still a pretty easy vote for Jeremy though.

Jeremy's come to be one of my favorite Ten songs, along with Ocean and Release. I think I feel a bit opposite of Monkey Driven; for me, it's one of the few Ten singles (including something like Black) that doesn't sound too dated, other than the production eccentricities of that album.

Very unfortunate matchup for Buckle Up, which is great. But I didn't even hesitate here.

This is tied?!? Jesus. Is this a recency bias kind of thing? Or an "I've heard Jeremy too many times" kind of thing?

Nah, it's second accounts voting. Happens every year.

That makes more sense than anything I could think to suggest.

it isn't a tie. Based on the voting spikes in other rounds it is second account voting. An awful lot of work goes into this and this practice is irritating as hell. Since I am going to bed early tonight I am calling it for Jeremy, which was consistently ahead by a large margin until the second account voting
