A year ago today I went to our annual company Hawks game. It would their last one for the season. I had planned on going to see Pearl Jam in Nashville, that was soon cancelled too. I didn’t realize how “only just the beginning” that turned out to be. I’m still hopeful for a somewhat more normal back half of ‘21.

I had tickets to see Jonathan Richman and Bonnie Prince Billy for the night all events were suspended in Rhode Island. We had already made the decision to not go due to everything that was going on, so really all the cancelation did was make it easier to get a refund.

Is this common with other viruses, specifically coronaviruses, or what?

Are you implying what I think you implying?

I don't mean to imply anything regarding manipulation or anything of that nature.

I have not heard of other viruses picking up blood markers in this fashion, but that could just be due to my medical ignorance. Is there something unique about the exterior of Covid-19 that assists it in picking up these blood markers, or is this something known to occur with other viruses, but probably less commonly studied because they aren't novel?

Yeah, we can just add that to the ever-growing list of pure coincidences

B gets made fun of a lot but here’s an example of a really good post that shows he’s paying attention to us here in N&D.

That guy is great: "keep the schools closed!".

I am now moving to Austria so my children can attend in person school.

A teacher a couple doors down from me told me that the vaccines are made from aborted fetuses and that people are dying from the vaccine but the media won't talk about it.

From what I understand, the first part comes from a kernelof truth--the J&J vaccine, at least, was developed using cell lines that involve stems cells from fetuses. They're not in the vaccine itself, but they were used in R&D. We talked a few pages back about how there are some Catholic dioceses advising against getting the J&J vaccine if you have an opportunity to get one of the other ones.

Yeah, I tried to acknowledge that and then provide the nuance you described to which he excitedly cut me off with, "It's true. And people are dying from the vaccine but the media won't tell you that."
Me: "Oh, okay." **Stares a hole into the ground hoping the microwave will hurry up so I can get out of there**

Just got orientation slides for the return-to-classroom plan and it's very thorough (including all staff inside the building being already vaccinated). Hats off the local school staff for this and the PTA for buying a second fogging machine to allow for nightly cleaning.
