Every song in that run is better than every song in your run

Now platy, we both know that that's just not true.

Red mosquito is pretty great, however

And maybe lightning bolt - infallible - pendulum will negate the need for this disagreement

Insignificance through Sleight of Hand is the best run this band ever had.

I'd stretch that badboy out right til Parting ways.

Hell i'd stretch it from NAIS to parting ways. Hence why Binaural is my favourite album. I concede that thin air fucks it up a little, but i still like the song, its just a little unnecessary/weirdly placed and probably too happy for the album.

thin air and soon forget

I don't really like sleight of hand or of the girl, but I understand why people don't. Insignificance, Rival, Grievance, and Parting Ways are all quite good.

I would stretch it from track 4, possibly throughout the whole record, but I went with what felt absolutely unimpeachable. I don't really have any qualms with Soon Forget; I don't like it much, but it's really too quaint to get worked up about (it'd be like thinking Yield's flow is ruined cause you don't like red dot). Thin Air is a wonderful song, though.

I love soon forget, It's a tiny cold snapshot of this mr burns like character dying alone, in the midst of all the other big events and big emotions in the other songs, like a 'Meanwhile....' section in a comic book. The worlds falling to shit, and the bigshots been renegated to a tiny ukulele ditty. People want/wanted lighting bolt to be an apocalypse album, binaurals mine already.

I've never thought of that before. That's really interesting. Thanks :)

I agree it's not worth getting worked up over, but if we're talking about unimpeachable song runs I think everything has to be great.

the longest extended run for me is tracks 1-8 on Ten (once, even flow, alive, why go, black, jeremy, oceans, porch--I mean this is the kind of stuff that Gods put together), but while these are all 4+ star songs, there are occasional slight dips in quality to make a few other 3 or 4 song runs just a little bit stronger).

Young, insecure Stip has matured just enough to be able to appreciate Sirens or Call Me Maybe but this is a whole step beyond.

Well, I think it's also like everything else is so strong (I mean, I think any number of those songs could make a top 10 list) that any problem that song has is lessened. Plus, my only issues with it are really lyrical; the song and melody are fine.
