you all know the song, but the video is hilarious. The early 90s were quite a time

This is another really tough ones. I really like, even love, both of these songs (though not at the Immortality/Given to Fly level). Nothing As it Seems is the better song. Possibly the most atmospheric song they've ever written, and an all timer performance from Mike. On the other hand, Hunger Strike is one of my favorite 'pearl jam' songs to sing. This needs a listen.

Fuck, it's so hard for me to vote against a 91 era Eddie vocal. My favorite period from my favorite singer. The way he holds hungry....ugh, so good. I wonder if we would have gotten another album of him sounding like this if not for Operaman.

After quite a few close matchups in the last round, almost every match here is a blowup. Hunger Strike's a nice song, but it's not Nothing As It Seems. One of the best songs on Binaural, and a song where they pull against so many of their natural inclinations (especially Eddie) and come up with a song that towers over many of the ones they wrote that more closely hew to their template.

Hunger Strike is a fun song. It's cool to hear Eddie and Chris singing together and it's a great live treat. It's also kinda boring. I think Cornell's original instincts about the song not being anything special were right.

NAIS is an absolute gem of a song. As Digster said, it's a miracle how restrained Eddie is in this song and Mike absolutely kills it.

Easy vote.

Yeah, but I know my pick will lose. I fully expect NAIS to win.

I voted on most of this round last night, but I had to wait on this one. Deciding now that it's NAIS. It's not the first pick I've made because of McCready, and it won't be the last.

I do have fond memories of belting out terrible versions of Hunger Strike with my best friend in high school. Turns out that Mike plays guitar better than we sang though.
