Just a train wreck of a movie that started with something familiar but reinvented, the use of horror to depict unbearable grief (the first 30 mins were great), then made obvious the rest of the plot in a manner which itself barely rises of above The Wicker Man, which it clearly borrows heavily from. I can see some critical analysis praising the concept of each gruesome act depicting a metaphor for the death of pieces of the life she will never have... each of them was just so painfully in-your-face that I didn’t care that any of it was happening.

It’s on our shortlist to watch next
It is... an Aaron Sorkin movie. Well-made, slick, and glossy but with an absolutely farcical view of political and social life. I found the first 75% really compelling and the ending pretty absurd, but overall it was a good experience. Baron Cohen gives a shockingly good performance.

Solaris (1972)
Odd Man Out (1947)

Both of these were excellent and very unique, Odd Man Out has one of the most tense scenes ever in it. I had also never seen Solaris all the way through and it was an interesting time to give it a watch for sure.
