I'd somehow never heard Oceans (re-mix) before this morning. It's always nice to hear a fresh take on an old classic, but I don't know that I'll be seeking it out again as it's inferior to the original.

I think i have this on one of the CD singles...im thinking either Alive or Even Flow? Like you say interesting but i greatly prefer the studio version.

Yeah it was on the Even Flow single. Completely forgot about that, but yeah, not the same as the album version.

It's the same mix that's on the rough mixes cassette, so technically it's not a remix, but the original mix

That's right - that's how the song was recorded and presumably intended to sound, until they decided to take out the main drum track during final mixing in the UK.
