I put St Vincent higher than Talking Heads on my list despite knowing that Talking Heads are objectively better and historically more significant. I put a lot of weight into what would I simply rather listen to right now.

In similar fashion though, how is Phoebe Bridgers on this list but not Bright Eyes?

Probably because Phoebe Bridgers is good and Bright Eyes is bad.

But seriously, Punisher to me sounds like a Bright Eyes album in songwriting style and instrumentation.
