I saw Saxon support Motorhead around 2007/8. Funniest crowd ever. Some consider Venom to be the most influential of the NWoBHM bands. Often credited with being the originators of Black metal and other metal sub genres their bass players is one of the scariest characters on the planet...

Girlschool rocked so hard even Lemmy took notice and the two bands toured together often. Probably the most influential all female hard rock/metal band ever along with the Runaways.
