I watched the first hour or so last night. It's good. Lots of long camera shots, I can see how this is 4 hours. But I like how this one takes its time with backstories and just overall context so far. Definitely a different feel from the last two.

Snyder left the film and it was completed and partially rewritten by Wheadon. Now this is Snyder's cut of the same movie. Again, some new footage, but really the whole thing of a piece. The thread is about the project. The project has gone through phases but it's still the same project. The conversation around it reflects that. And no one would be confused by keeping the entire conversation in one place.

Whedon only used 30 minutes of Snyder’s footage, Snyder has used 0 minutes of Whedon’s footage. Whedon’s movie was two hours long, and is considered poor. Snyder’s version is four hours long, and is getting great reviews. The original release came out in 2017, this is a very different movie released in 2021.
