Bridge School Shows Official Releases
Maybe this belongs in live, mods feel free to move it if so
From Neil Young’s latest NYA newsletter:
“Bridge School Concerts – We bring you the original Bridge School Concerts for a $9.99 donation per concert. Proceeds all go to the Bridge School and are available for anyone – subscriber or not. Tell your friends. Every show we have is coming. We just started with #1 Bruce, Nils, Tom Petty, CSNY.”
No timeframe but still pretty exciting to get some of the more unique performances from throughout PJ’s career in pristine quality.

Great news -- there are a lot of unique performances from these shows, which I predict will be the subject of an exquisite JWB/Ridley compilation when the time is right.

The fact that the release says "Every show we have is coming" has made me temper my expectations a little bit, because there's a chance they don't have all the Pearl Jam performances--but surely they have at least some of them.

After Pearl Jam, that Nails show was the first one I thought of. I have a version of it now, but the audio is garbage. I have to absolutely crank it to hear even the slightest shred of nuance. Really excited for a proper release of that show.VinylGuy wrote:I also want the NIN performance back in 2006 i think?

I think they also might have some rights issues.Simple Torture wrote:The fact that the release says "Every show we have is coming" has made me temper my expectations a little bit, because there's a chance they don't have all the Pearl Jam performances--but surely they have at least some of them.
The first concert (from 1986) is up on NYA. Don Henley's performance is "not available". (That's somehow not surprising.)
I'm assuming PJ won't be as persnickety, but your guess is as good as mine.

A fall show when he only plays for the boys of summer. It’s understandable.Simple Torture wrote:Oh no not Don Henley

Syncing it up to the video wouldn't be bad.VinylGuy wrote:yeah, i listened to some really lousy files..but it was NIN with a fucking piano and upright bass so, yeah i want that.Stardog Champion wrote:After Pearl Jam, that Nails show was the first one I thought of. Re: Bridge School Shows Official Releases
I was browsing the NYA last evening and from what i father its just Videos of the performances, not official hard copy audio releases.
The 1986 Show is up now for $9.99 but its video only.
Unless im missing something.
So, i wouldnt get too excited unless you dont mind sitting in front of your computer watching these.

Do you have to be a member of NYA to get that stuff?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

OK, I see now where I missed that, but I can't find that first show on the website in any way shape or form. Where the fuck is it?
