Intersting match. I haven listened to TM in a long time....still, there is a sadness and fierce in 4/20/02 that gets me every time.

I don't really like either of these. 4/20/02 is a raw performance, but it's a bit too much of a sketch and I feel like Layne deserved a complete thought.

Turning Mist sounds like a bad Beatles/Oasis song. And those aren't bands whose good work I like, so this is a non-starter. What happened to Mike as a song writer. I'm trying to think of the last great thing he did.

Well, not a fan of either of these. I guess I'm going with 4/20/02, but there's quite a few better songs that'll be biting the dust this round.

He's at least as talented as Jeff.

I've had the honor of hearing TM the very first time it was played live. Mike tried it out at a Flight to Mars show of which I was in attendance. Suck it, losers.

This statement leaves your vote in this match-up unclear.

i like thats a thing eddie did when he learnt the news..you can hear the sadness. Besides PJ doesnt seem to exploit their friend´s deaths by releasing a song, so im alright with this.

I definitely lean toward TVG in this debate. But I also like the idea of the song more than the song.

Neither of these are especially interesting or meaningful to me.

I remember being surprised that they included it on Lost Dogs. And i love the sentiment poured over it. You can feel Ed´s sadness and frustration.

I guess thats why Missing is a perfect choice for Chris´s tribute.

It was a hidden track. It's not like they even used it as promotion.

yeah, they released it as a hidden track so nobody is grabbing the album because of the song. I think Ed explains it in the pJ20 book

All reasonable points. And it is a very raw performance. I just find myself a little unmoved by it -
