I love Porch. I expect it to win. I'm totally good with that outcome. I am voting for Yellow Moon.

Yikes. I like Yellow Moon, and find Porch to be somewhat overrated, but the distance between them is still pretty vast. Yellow Moon is an example of a pretty good PJ songs where the production/approach of the record it's on does it absolutely no favors.

Fuck Lightning Bolt. Yellow Moon is one of it’s best songs and it isn’t in the same stratosphere as Porch, which is near the bottom of Ten for me.

Re: 103. Yellow Moon vs. Porch
I hate match ups like this. "Hey! Yellow Moon! I like that song!". But it's up against mother fuckin Porch!
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Yellow Moon might not be the absolute worst thing the band ever did, but it's pretty close.

Re: 103. Yellow Moon vs. Porch
I'd like to see Porch show up on bootleg tracklists as "Mother Fuckin' Porch."

I don't get how someone can hate Yellow Moon. Not like it, fine, but hate?

Re: 103. Yellow Moon vs. Porch
Yellow Moon is top notch latter day PJ and I love the bridge so very much.
Its not Porch though. However, porch isn't that interesting of a song really. It is just held together by youthful energy.
Im voting Yellow Moon knowing it needs some loving.

That's sort of the case with several of their earlier songs.Strat wrote:Yellow Moon is top notch latter day PJ and I love the bridge so very much.

Re: 103. Yellow Moon vs. Porch
well now we just have a bunch of contrarians lol
also "interesting" is just a weird word in music. most music people describe as "interesting" is generally boring. i find it interesting songs can have the same chord progression as Porch and not do a thing for me. meanwhile, every time I hear porch I literally get a physical reaction.
yellow moon is fine, i guess. i think they wanted a pink floyd feel here and they missed. its not as good as 'low light', either.
