10 Billion Years is fun. Stone vocals don't come easy to me, and this might be my favorite Stone singing song.

But Alright is just a fantastic atmospheric song - does a great job making some sub par lyrics feel profound, and I love the way the unfamiliar (for pearl jam) instrumentation ends up making everything feel slightly alien but not uncomfortable that feels appropriate to the song

Alright: the 3.5-star "weak link" in Gigaton's first half. God I love that album.

Alright's soured on me a bit as time has gone on, and I've always really, really liked 10 Billion Years. One thing I've noticed on Stone songs (and his solo records) is that he's very good at making ideas that seems bizarre or absurd on paper work in song.

Alright is one of my Gigaton favorites, but 10 Bil is the best illegal Pearl Jam song.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?
