I just gave Sunburn it's first listen of the tournament. It's not half bad, despite my not caring for stone as a singer and not liking the lyrics. Green Disease is on now. I think it gets my vote. There is a lot of stuff in this song I do dig - the verses and chorus are actually pretty good. It's just that the parts that bookend the song that don't work for me, and so it gets off to a bad start and leaves a bad aftertaste. Still, I think it gets my vote

Green Disease, easily, despite its flaws.

Green Disease is great, have always thought it's a bit underrated.

I think Joe's longstanding championing of "Sunburn" has rubbed off on me. I wasn't a fan when it first leaked and I don't know that I really love it now, but my enjoyment has certainly grown over the years. "Green Disease" was fun in the early days of having Riot Act, and I enjoy grooving it to it every now and then these days, but it's a little too slight musically and a little too on the nose lyrically to have real longevity. I'm going "Sunburn."

Sunburn. I love the hushed, 50s-esque quality to the recording, I'm a big fan of the way the chorus (at least, I think it's the chorus) turns in on itself, and it has one of those Stone solos where he refuses to do the typical thing. It's good, not great, but it's definitely better than Green Disease, which IMO is one of their few pre S/T songs that falls entirely flat.

Sunburn would go up half a star for me if it lost that ‘oh him/hymn?’ Lyric
