I haven't listened to Man of the Hour in a long while. What a lovely song, with one of my favorite opening lyrical couplets in the catalog. It is slightly overproduced in places, but it's a really moving song

This is between Love Boat Captain and Man of the Hour for me (and for you, too, I'm sure). I think the parts of LBC that I love, I love more than any moment in MoTH. Going to pause here and listen to MoTH for the first time in a while (even though I find myself singing it on my own quite often).

MoTH does great things, and it does them so easily and gracefully. But listening to it just now, it felt a bit flatter than I expected. It swells, but it never really crashes like the tidal wave in the first verse. And that's kind of a cheap shot, because it's not meant to explode like, say, Release.

This is tough, because in a vacuum I'd've expected to almost certainly cast a vote for MoTH this early in the tournament, but I think I'm going with Love Boat Captain.
