His potential challenger got caught in his own #MeToo claim (in his defense, he seemed genuinely contrite about the incident). Anyway, he backed out of the race, but it took over the news cycle for a couple of days, and I think that in the absence of a real challenger, there's less uproar. But I don't think that means this story is over.
