The same way a giant monkey knows how to repair his dislocated shoulder. Or the same way the ocean is so deep, Godzilla and Kong can fight underwater and not see the bottom at all and then Godzilla can stand up and half his body be out of the water.

I just remembered that they beat Mechagodzilla by getting a computer wet.

What good is an empty skull to control Mechagodzilla?

I told a few kids & their dads from the neighborhood that they could come over and watch - we have a nice projector and big screen. But I have to wait until the weekend. These last couple pages are bumming me out. I mean, you guys are kind of just describing all "big" monster movies, but it doesn't seem like this one is at least a smidge better than the usual. (??)

Yeah, I will say they definitely didn't give a fuck about a lot of this stuff, so it was funny to think about that. "Lets build a tube that takes us to Hong Kong really quickly but we forgot we can just fly Kong to Antarctica."

Nah, man. It’s a fun movie. The Kong side of the story was more interesting for me probably because he was in it way more, but for a big, dumb monster movie, you kinda throw your suspension of disbelief out the window anyway. I thought it was great.

Yeah the monster fights were the best part and fortunately there is a good bit in this movie. I thought it was fun, just didn't like the acting. Especially by Millie Bobbie Brown and also that adult daughter of the head of the tech company.

That adult daughter is smoking hot, though.

I really enjoyed this. It is profoundly stupid and borderline incoherent (too much human stuff; the Millie Bobby Brown sidequest was dumb and unnecessary) but it looks so good and is filled with really cool moments. Everything from the Hollow Earth sequence onwards was so fun. It keeps showing you new things and it never takes itself too seriously. Also -- I was so happy to watch this in the theater and not home. I think it really helps.

Multiple times during this movie Godzilla reminded me of my cat
