Voted for Can't Keep. Lyrically, Betterman resonated more when I first heard it (my parents were divorcing at the time). Now that I'm middle age, Can't Keep resonates much more. I hear both songs much differently than I did upon their release.

 I promise I'm not. I finished this round 30 minutes early and I said before I looked at any scores that anything within one vote would stay open.

It wasn't thirty minutes ago. But I do think this is Betterman's last ride.

The fact that this was still open had me excited that I'd get to be the tiebreaker for "Can't Keep," but apparently several others beat me to the punch. Oh well, I will gladly jump on the wagon. Love "Can't Keep."

"Better Man" is the song that got me into Pearl Jam but it has dulled some for me over the years, and I wish I could unlearn the fact that the album version is a hybrid studio/live thing. For some reason I can't unhear that cut now, and it kind of deflates the atmosphere of the song a bit.

I wish the Romanza intro was used for a better song.

Is Stip recruiting people from synergy (or whatever it's called these days) as a last gasp to come vote for Better Man?

Interesting, that's news to me! I love snippets of info like this that come up during MM dsicussion.
Going to file this under "trivia" and see if I can keep it from my critical listening. Tempted to listen for it now though at the risk of hurting Betterman.
I think I gotta risk it lol

Also, happy to see Can't Keep taking the lead
