Re: 201. In My Tree vs. Hard to Imagine
I feel like I like Hard to Imagine, but even when I think really hard, the only lyrics I can remember are "hard to imagine," so I guess my body wants In My Tree.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Is this matchup the one that will make Ruddo's head explode?

Hard To Imagine.
It's painful but the correct and only real answer is In My Tree.
IMT is the best pop/rock song ever written.
But it sucks voting opposite HTI. I love that song so much.

Two average to above average Pearl Jam songs. IMT is probably better but HTI is sentimental for meBammer wrote:Is this matchup the one that will make Ruddo's head explode?

Look i don’t hate IMT, it’s just super overrated. It’s mid tier PJ.

Re: 201. In My Tree vs. Hard to Imagine
In My Tree. This is ultimate Jack Irons feel turning to gold. Everything just comes off that drum roll paired with Jeff’s bass. It also builds up perfectly and has a great pay off.
I even like all the versions of this song and was into the ‘03 version everyone panned. There’s just a lot to play around with here. It is musically 100% top tier Pearl Jam. This also most evokes this sense of Pearl Jam growing up as a band and finding new places that I thought were going to be on the next records. It’s going somewhere even while being overtly contemplative. Habit and Lukin have the feel of the remnants of Vitalogy, and this is what is taking them somewhere else.
