I think I probably prefer Last Exit by a small margin, but these days I am feeling Release more. Both incredible songs for different reasons. I am fine with either winning.

I bounced back and forth, but Release has generally had a bigger impact on me.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I said why Release last round. Despite Last Exit being the first Pearl Jam song I ever heard live and despite the fact that every playlist I make of their music has to include Last Exit for me, Release takes this. For all those who love the emotional impact of Black, to me Release is that times fifty. Just an epic and amazing song.

This mirrors the choice I had with DTE/Tremor Christ. Release is probably in my top 15 or so, it's a stunning song, but Last Exit may be my second favorite Pearl Jam song, so it's going to be hard to beat.

Just put on release to double check ....

Even the first few notes hit me in the gut.

Fuck. I know how incredible this song is. I know it in my bones and yet i still sometimes take it for granted.

Last Exit is a monster of a song but Release is everything. Ed's voice. The lyrics. The emotion.

Pearl Jam were so fucking good at building these songs from nothing. 1 key. Jam. No changes. Building off Ed's voice and lyrics.

Release.
