Has any song had an easier path in this thing than Corduroy? Jesus.

Last Soldier is better than Happy When I’m Crying or Leatherman.

Corduroy had SOLAT in round 1 and Alright in round 2.

I think my point stands.

SOLAT is closer to Corduroy's weight class, I suppose. But RM doesn't seem particularly taken with Alright.

Corduroy was up against one A lister and what is still a fairly well received song

Jeremy had to go through buckle up and around the bend
Thin air had Help Help and black red yellow
Black had Cready Stomp, Thunderclap, and undone
All Those Yesterdays had Sirens, Smile, and Falling Down
Alone had You're True, Thumbing My Way, and Green Disease
Rats had Unemployable, Drifting, and Down

There are others that I think had an easier time than Corduroy, but I don't think any of the ones above are arguable.

Black had an easier ride, for sure. The rest....

I guess I'll give you Alone, too, but that's not really the same caliber of song.

State of Love and Trust is a far more difficult song then everything on that list. I'm not sure Alright isn't comparable either.

Round 4's a lock too.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Like I said, RM doesn't seem to care much for Alright, so in the context of this tournament is not a challenge.

According to the Alright thread:

5 Stars 27%
4 Stars 52%
3 Stars 17%
2 Stars 4%
1 Star 0%

And it beat 10 Billion Years, which is a song a sizable part of RM has a love affair with. I'm not sure where the RM doesn't like Alright idea comes from.
