I don't understand why the Bucks wouldn't wait until after the season. If he ends up solving all their playoff issues and they win a title they'd ending up giving him the whole bag which would look a whole lot like 4yr/$160m. Why do it now?

They traded a lot for him, so it was going to happen regardless. Didn’t really matter when.

You guys ever go to the basketball reference home page and try and guess the 12 players on the home screen? It's a fun game. Today's group had some hall of famers but it's usually pretty tough.

I could only get Kobe, Lenny and Bosh. Powell looked familiar but couldn't place him.

I'm looking at random players now. Nick Van Exel shot under 40% for years and was still getting run out there for 35-36 min a game. Dude was overrated. I assume his all star appearance in 97-98 was a fan vote.

You know who had solid careers? Jim Paxson and Gerald Wilkins.

From 01-08 Damon Stoudamire never shot above .401. He never appeared in an ASG though.

John Starks hung around from 97 to 02 and never managed to get his FG% above 40%. Do these guys just coast on rep? I have no memory of his 4 games as a Bull, thank God.

My dad liked the Knicks so I watched them a ton. Gerald Wilkins was my favorite.

I could see that. He was able to get into MJ’s head a little, so teams figured he could handle the dominant 2’s of the day.
