"In The Mouths of Wolves" reminds me of "Beth/Rest" by Bon Iver

I listened to Generals tonight; pretty good! I'm going to give the other album a listen now.

I'll throw one of these on today at work...should I listen to the 1st or 2nd one first?

would the first one be good while running on the treadmill? i usually need something a bit upbeat to keep me motivated. i also started out with Generals so i need to see how the first one iscutuphalfdead wrote:1stGods' Die wrote:I'll throw one of these on today at work...should I listen to the 1st or 2nd one first?

Re: The Mynabirds
The first album is more folksy, singer songwriter type stuff. But that description doesn't do it justice, their music isn't as compartmentalized as describing it like that makes it sound.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:would the first one be good while running on the treadmill? i usually need something a bit upbeat to keep me motivated. i also started out with Generals so i need to see how the first one iscutuphalfdead wrote:1stGods' Die wrote:I'll throw one of these on today at work...should I listen to the 1st or 2nd one first?
The second record is definitely more upbeat though.

Re: The Mynabirds
Finished the first one...pretty good. Easy to put on at work, that's for sure, which is a good way to internalize the melodies and choruses. Once that happens it's really easy to get into a record.cutuphalfdead wrote:The first album is more folksy, singer songwriter type stuff. Re: The Mynabirds
I just listened to their entire catalogue from beginning to end for the first time in a couple of months.
