Pearl Jam will mark the 30th anniversary of their debut album Ten by releasing “Alive” on 12-inch vinyl and cassette tape. The 12-inch features the original promo single version of “Alive” plus three rare b-sides: “Wash”, “Dirty Frank” and The Beatles cover “I’ve Got A Feeling”, which is currently not available anywhere else. All four tracks are included on side A while side B features an etching of the band’s Stick Man logo.

I have this single on CD. It has a completely different Alive solo.
But this release is kinda lame.... They added the 'rare' track 'Dirty Frank' as a fourth track. Which was recorded more than a year later with Dave A. A 'Ten sessions' 'just a girl' or something would have been way more fitting as the fourth track....

But will we see more 30th Anniversary releases coming up??

Nah they are printing like 20,000 of these things. Which is like 5x more than RSD releases that are normally easy to find in-store or online after. Can’t imagine anyone will have trouble finding this, or that there will be enough demand for skyrocketed flipper prices. But could be wrong

I think they’re the same things, one is vinyl and the other is cassette. They’re making 6300 cassettes. So a lot less, but still a lot for a RSD release

I can’t recall having heard the Alive promo before. Great variation to a song I’ve heard over 1000 times. Has it been available digitally or one one of the awesome compilations floating around here?

The record store in my town that has been giving appointments for Record Store Day is closing. I'm gonna miss that place.
Now on Black Friday, I'm going to have to get line somewhere like a chump!
