"let people enjoy things" implies "without ruthlessly mocking their enjoyment, by laughing, schoolyard bullying, etc."

"let people enjoy things" may not be a hot take but some people aren't able to do it here, and it has a bigger impact on them than some of you know or care about

I put my post here because I'm pleasantly surprised by an album I wasn't exactly anticipating; as a whole I've moved on from Evanescence

I thought my pleasant surprise might be picked up, and mutually enjoyed

but some people are just about measuring their musical dicks in front of others
