I think it’s easy to link the 6 Asian-American women together. Whether it was motivated by race or sex or something else, I’ll let other people debate, but he clearly targeted a specific group. I haven’t followed this much the last two days but last I heard there was a white couple there, I assume to get a massage, which is why I said “wrong place at the wrong time.”

But here’s another perspective. Some want to say the left goes too far, but here we have a situation where Asian Americans have started going on tv to call attention to the rise in aggressive, sometimes violent behavior. And while that’s happening, conservative media is going out of its way to decouple race from this mass shooting. They are really giving it their best shot.

I realize things are complicated and you don’t want to gloss over the facts in this case to support a larger cause, but I’m not sure this approach gets you any support that wasn’t already there.
