I just heard my local station are holding a competition to go to either the seattle shows or the pj town hall meeting in Seattle.
You have to prove how big a Pj fan you are.
This could solve my quest to propose to my other half in one swoop.

I'd fucking love to win this.

I think there's a real possibility that for this album, they mingled "logical extension of Backspacer" material with more interesting, experimental stuff as they wanted to gently bring people forward (these elusive fans who jumped on board during Backspacer, whom I'm sure BoB thinks exist); they want something deeper and they want to progress away from Backspacer but in the end they decided they didn't want to strongly alienate. So who knows, the next album might be the one which tries for even more. But something tells me they need to sack BoB for that to really happen. By now, it's likely he's done the job he was hired to do. Of course we won't know this until we find out how the album performs in the long run.

I'm also very interested in seeing what happens to the band from now on. They could express an interest to have another album out next year, or the year after. Or they could go "In Hiding" for the next 10 years. Or they could quit... we just don't know but it'll be an interesting time. How many more annoying interviews will we get, where they sound dry and complacent, before something gives?

Whoa. Infallible? The first sounds there sound like what's tacked onto the end of the leaked version of LB, and at the end the guitar sounds like what we hear in the soundcheck recording.

It has a "You Are" vibe to it. Very Riot Act with a lot more funk groove than I was expecting plus some pop gloss.
