What movies are you watching?

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Good Will Hunting may be his best movie, but he is Jason Bourne to me.

Haven’t seen it at home yet, but I was surprised by how much I liked it at the cinema. Enjoyed the casting as well.

Can understand the Damon comment He has something very particular about him, that makes him stand out as Matt Damon, and it’s not always easy imagining him as the person he is playing.

There are so many roles where Damon is fine or serviceable, but only a handful where his casting feels perfect, like no one else could have played the part right.

I think KILLER Damon roles (not necessarily great movies) are:

Good Will Hunting
The Talented Mr. Ripley
Gerry (? I've never seen this, but I hear he's great)
The Bourne series
The Departed
The Martian
The Informant!
True Grit
Behind the Candelabra

That's not a ton! And then there are excellent movies he's been in, like Oceans 11 or Contagion, but many others could have played his part just fine.

I think he was at his best in Good Will Hunting and the first Bourne movie. He also brought charm to his role in The Martian. Not sure how I feel about him in True Grit. The remake wasn’t as good as the original, and I think he is part of the reason for that.

I thought Damon was fine! I wouldn't go to the mat for that movie but he was fine!

He wasn’t bad, i just think there might have been someone a little better for the role. Someone with a more retro feel

The Kid Detective.

Wow, that was awesome. Cant believe i havent seen this one before....looked great, it was super funny and so fucking sad too. Adam Brody was incredible.

Dark Comedy Mystery indeed. Brody was absolutely fantastic.
