Not really related but Mrs. Bam’s #1 reason for voting democrat is that they care more about the environment. So isn’t it interesting that every time she gets some new makeup or a new thing of contact solution, I am the one who fishes the cardboard packaging / box out of the bathroom garbage basket and brings it down to the recycle in the kitchen.

The two-party system has got to go!!

Ruddo and I have a bet. He thinks I can't compost in something like this...but I bet I can.

That's what ruddo said. I'll show all the doubters.

Growing up, I remember my grandparents just had a giant open air pile in a shady corner of their backyard for compost. We threw scraps in it all the time and dug for worms.

Trying the same thing here. may take a year but I'm in no hurry.

I believe they call this "cold composting."

We'll see. My memory could be playing tricks on me since this was 30+ years ago. Who knows what else my grandpa was doing with that pile. Fun project with low stakes.

I've been scratching my head thinking about opportunities for some greens in my compost, then I remembered I work in a restaurant.
