I've really been enjoying the more simulation-based approach of the Golf Club (now PGA 2k). Wonder what direction this game will go.
Not sure.. plus, what pros will be on it n can you play as them??

If you search the user made stuff "a tradition like no other" is Agusta n its hard as shit

Returnal sounds very promising. A mixture of Hades, Resogun, Metroid, and Alien? Count me in!

I concur. Looks fun/scary/interesting. Will probably pre-order soon.

This is the first next-gen game that I think looks really freaking compelling. But I won't have time to play it so
Have you considered cloning yourself?

I'm too busy for deep-dive games. I mostly play Apex Legends and Rocket League, with a bit of RE2 when I can dedicate an hour+ in one sitting.

You can make any single player game accessible in short bursts with rest mode.

Some may tease but I keep a little notebook of my gaming exploits/critiques.

The Video Games sub forum needs an "Entries From MD's Video Game Diary" thread.

I can definitely sympathize with this--I do have Returnal on pre-order and looking all the more forward to it with the latest previews this week. Hoping the reviews at least decent, too. I guess the plus side is an average 10-15 hour shooter can sometimes last me several months to complete. As compelling and flat out GREAT as the Last of Us Part 2 was, it still took me over 3 months to finish cause of lack of time.

Only time this happened to me was Skyrim, but it was bad. Just quit right then and there.

Honestly I think Skyrim is even bigger.

But yeah, full on "what the fuck was I doing?" happened and I never could get back into it.

Resident Evil Village getting pretty solid reviews. Might give that a whirl soon though I should probably at least play 7 a few times. Was never a fan of them going 1st person but oh well. Pretty sure a next gen remake of the mighty RE4 is in development, too.

Finally watched the PS State of Play from last week, too. Rift Apart looks amazing (one month out!)

At this rate, I may be to the 3rd biome in Returnal by then.
